Burquena Crafts is a Hispanic woman-owned business that began with a simple dream. Co-founder Melissa Olvera, captivated by the art of crafting, started creating candles as gifts for loved ones. Inspired to minimize waste, Melissa envisioned eco-friendly containers that could be repurposed after the candle burned. This passion project took root in her backyard, where she designed and crafted the very first Burquena candles.
Melissa's journey took an exciting turn when she brought in her sister-in-law, Nikki Olvera. Nikki's creativity and expertise in design played a crucial role in shaping the Burquena brand. Together, they built upon Melissa's initial dream, turning Burquena Crafts into a thriving small business.
